Rob and Connie are best of friends. Connie had a long distance
relationship
with Robs brother who passed last year. We are for sure an Ohana
family. She
cooked for us lasagna and the other nites we went out to my favorite
restaurants to eat. Joe's Italian where I had Gnocchi, and then we went
to
Art's bar & grill in Riverside to eat. Her house is so cute and comfy.
This
is another muumuu she bought last year. See you don't have to live in
hawaii
to wear them. She took me too the mall and I was so overwhelmed there
too hot
and too many people. Ok, on to the next.........
This is Rob and his sister Ruth in Filer, Idaho. They are only a few
years
apart Rob being the oldest so he got to see his younger sister. He has
other
family but no one means as much to him as she does. I was amazed how
alike
they looked. Their smile is one and the same. This was the other reason
we
went to Idaho. We made sure we made it to see her. We also found out we
have
2 nieces and 1 nephew. It was a great experience.
This is a picture of Rob sitting in President Taft's chair. Many
presidents
came here and a few even got married here. It is a ancient place that
was
really a mission years and years ago. There are many hidden stairwells
and
all kinds of hidden passages that they have closed down since the last
time
we were here. But it was so fabulous just to be there with Rob.
This is Rob and His mom, They hadn't seen each other for over 20 yrs.
That is
a long time. Mom was so happy to see us, and she approved of me!!!
Thank
goodness. She gave me a ring and had Rob put it on my finger. So this
wonderful woman gave us a shotgun wedding lol.
This is me and Mom at her apt in Post Falls, Idaho. She was wonderful
and
finding out I was Italian made me an Italian dinner before we left on
Sunday.
She is a wonderful spirit and to meet the woman who borned Rob was so
incredible. I can see where he gets alot of his love for nature and the
people around him.
This is the Riverside Mission Inn. It is very historical. Billy and I
stayed
here years ago when some unpleasant things were happening and this
place made
it all better. The next pictures you will see are all taken here. This
is one
of the many grottos. For some reason our camera didn't take here for
outside
shots. I got a great deal on the room and told them that many people
were
coming to visit us and they upgraded the room for us to a mini
suite!!!!! And
we had breakfast in bed the next morning. What a great way to be
pampered.
